The PJD5153 LightStream DLP Multimedia Projector from ViewSonic is designed to be equally suited for use in the home or at the office. It features an SVGA (800 x 600) native resolution, a 4:3 aspect ratio ideal for slideshow presentations. It also features the ability to scale video from non-native sources, including SD, HD, and computer resolutions up to UXGA (1600 x 1200). It features a 3200 lumen brightness to help it overcome a moderate amount of ambient light. A 1.1x zoom plus vertical keystone correction mean it can adapt to different throw distances as well as setups where the lens can't be perfectly aligned with the screen.
Inputs 2 x VGA/Component for analog computers and analog SD and HD video appliances*
1 x Composite video input
1 x S-video
*Note: Component requires separately available component-to-VGA adapter
Outputs 1 x VGA to loop-out the selected VGA input
Control 1 x RS-232C on DB9 male
USB 1 x Mini-USB for remote mouse function
Single-Chip DLP with SuperColor Technology Uses a combination of a chip covered in millions of micro-mirrors plus a high-rpm color wheel to produce an image. DLP features less spacing between pixels and better contrast than many comparable LCD-based systems. It is also a filter-free design, simplifying maintenance
3200 Lumens Lamp A single lamp provides 3200 lumens brightness in Normal mode, and is estimated to last 5000 hours. To determine the ideal brightness level for your application, you will need to take into account the screen width, distance from the projector to the screen (throw distance), amount of ambient light near the screen, and the reflectivity (gain) of the screen surface used
4:3 Native Aspect Ratio This projector features the SVGA format, which produces a 4:3 aspect ratio picture optimal for PowerPoint presentations and many still image formats. The wider 16:9 HDTV and 16:10 computer aspect ratios can still be displayed - either by cropping the sides of the image, "letterboxing" (filling the remaining space with black bars top and bottom), or applying an anamorphic squeeze that distorts the picture
DLPLink 3D Support Supports 3D from select sources at refresh rates up to 120 Hz - DLPLink-compatible 3D glasses available separately
USB Mouse Function The projector remote features navigation keys so you can use it like a regular mouse - ideal for advancing slides during a PowerPoint presentation (USB cable available separately)
Auto Power On With Auto Power On enabled, once a VGA or HDMI cable is connected and signal detected, the projector will power on automatically
Smart Restart With Smart Restart, the projector automatically enters a three-minute standby mode when it is idle, and turns down the projection to a power-saving 30% brightness. While in standby mode, you can quickly reactivate the projector for continued use without waiting for it to warm up completely
Quick Power Off The projector can be powered down in a matter of seconds - no waiting around for the fan to complete a cool-down cycle
Presenter Timer An embedded on-screen timer assists presenters, helping them avoid over-runs that can cause delays during scheduled sessions
Patterns and Templates Patterns are built-in templates such as tables, grids, worksheets, and charts on which teachers and students can draw when using a digital whiteboard
Intuitive Interface with Tactile Keypad Features a tactile keypad that is raised with concave buttons that assist in making projector set up easier in dark environments
Five Viewing Modes Bright Mode for environments where extra-high brightness is required
Dynamic Mode for presentations under daylight environment and text content
Standard Mode for closer color matching with a computer monitor
ViewMatch Mode for general viewing
Movie Mode for watching movies with better saturation in a dark environment
Top Lamp Door Placing the lamp door on top makes it easy to access if the projector is mounted upside down with a ceiling mount
Control Eight Projectors with One Remote Set-up up to 8 projectors in the same venue through a single remote control for effortless projector selection, configuration and operation during lessons or meetings
